Imbil, QLD – Gubbi Gubbi Country
Located on the Baltic Sea, be sea – MEERLEBEN is a collection of 13 individually designed holiday homes, developed as part of a collaborative masterplanned community. Each residence responds to its coastal setting while maintaining a unique architectural identity.
This home embraces a Nordic-inspired palette, combining robust pre-stained timber cladding, timber framing, and a simple Colorbond roof. Gentle curves soften the otherwise cubic form, creating a balanced composition that feels both contemporary and timeless.
The project was delivered in collaboration with agmm Architekten und Stadtplaner in Munich, where we had the opportunity to contribute to the design of this distinctive coastal development.
At KD Studio, we recognise that every structure we design sits upon the traditional lands of the First Nations people of Australia. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters where we live and work, paying our respects to Elders past and present.
