Located on the outskirts of Brisbane, blue gum reimagines a charming Queenslander through a carefully considered renovation and extension. The design responds to the clients' evolving needs with a staged approach that allows the home to grow over time while preserving its original character.
The interiors celebrate colour with confidence. Guided by the clients' willingness to embrace a bold palette, the design explores the art of combining colour, texture, and materiality to create a home that feels vibrant, warm, and uniquely personal. Clever spatial planning ensures every square metre works hard, resulting in a home that is both functional and refreshingly unexpected.
At KD Studio, we recognise that every structure we design sits upon the traditional lands of the First Nations people of Australia. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters where we live and work, paying our respects to Elders past and present.
